This Kanchipuram saree with Silk Mark of quality comes to you directly from weavers of Kanchipuram. The pure silk kanchipuram saree is hand woven with natural silk
threads and silver threads, and pure vegetable colours add a unique luster to
this traditional saree. The high thread count of silk fabric gives a sturdy and
yet smooth and cool feel to the wearer. This elegant coloured kancheevaram silk
saree with attractive golden zari border, with the pallu that is interwoven
with a tasteful designer work, is an ideal wear for all festive occasions in
your life.
It was during the reign of Krishna-Deva Raya, when the famous weaving communities of Andhra Pradesh, the Devangas and Saligars, migrated to Kanchipuram. Thus, occurred the historical migration of the entire silk industry in the 15th century, to this city. The silk that is obtained from the sericulture of the mulberry worm is finely converted to produce the Kanchipuram silk. Kanchipuram sarees were the favorites of the royalties of the times and has evolved with times to deliver contemporary designs.
