This elegant green colored silk saree with thin border along with a graceful zari worked pallu, is an ideal wear for all festive occasions in your life.
It was during the reign of Krishna-Deva Raya, when the famous weaving communities of Andhra Pradesh, the Devangas and Saligars, migrated to Kanchipuram. Thus, occurred the historical migration of the entire silk industry in the 15th century, to this city. The silk that is obtained from the sericulture of the mulberry worm is finely converted to produce the Kanjeepuram silk. Kancheepuram sarees were the favorites of the royalties of the times and has evolved with times to deliver contemporary designs.
